(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, DECEMBER 14 - Restrictions on border crossings, increased surveillance and specific asylum requirements.

These are the proposals of Brussels to respond to the instrumentalization of migrants in the wake of what happened with Belarus.


    "We have a responsibility to ensure that Member States are equipped to guarantee a rapid, coordinated and European response to crisis situations, even when migrants are exploited", underlined the EU Vice President, Margaritis Schinas, adding that the EU Commission is "introducing a more permanent structure in law "which allows us to typify exploitation.
