DECRYPTION - The perpetual question of the speaking time of the Head of State in the run-up to the presidential election resurfaces after the announcement of an interview with Emmanuel Macron on LCI and TF1 on Wednesday.


The question of speaking time in the media cramps the entire political sphere at each presidential election.

It has even become a recurring campaign weapon.

On the eve of Emmanuel Macron's intervention on TF1 and LCI in prime time, Valérie Pécresse, LR candidate, and Yannick Jadot, environmental candidate, announced that they wanted to contact the CSA on the counting of the speaking time of the President of the Republic in exercise.

The question had already been asked in 2011-2012 for Nicolas Sarkozy before his entry into the campaign, it is resting today for Emmanuel Macron.

Only François Hollande, by revealing on December 1, 2016 that he gave up representing himself, had escaped this controversy.
