(HANDLE) It is no longer time for the great classics of cooking. Auguste Escoffier's (complicated) bible, slow cooking of ovens (secret for well-cooked dishes but now the time is gone, we have started running again), stoves soiled with milk or coffee overflowing and the smell of fried food or burned throughout the house are a distant memory. It is no longer time for the great classics of cooking. Auguste Escoffier's (complicated) bible, slow cooking of ovens (secret for well-cooked dishes but now the time is gone, we have started running again), stoves soiled with milk or coffee overflowing and the smell of fried food or burned throughout the house are a distant memory. Now you can prepare gourmet dishes and drinks without turning on the stove or dirtying anything, using smartphones, bluetooth thermometers, barcode ovens, robots that do everything independently, smart centrifuges, electric milk fryers with thermostats, plates that don't smoke, and fryers that do not fry and air, intelligent coffee machines, blast chillers and dryers to enjoy raw and vegan dishes. The stoves remain off and in the meantime mini-appliances find more and more place in the kitchen that induce famous architects and designers to design kitchens tailored to trend-robots.

The kitchens will increasingly resemble laboratories, hubs that connect the devices that churn out dishes in full autonomy, also designed with the minds of the most renowned chefs. The forerunner is the robot that cooks by itself

Thermomix

(by the German Vorwerk) distributed in the early 70s initially in France and which today has bewitched entire generations who just don't want to stay in front of the stove. The new models have functions such as vacuum cooking, fermentation. It is estimated that today there are at least 4 mini appliances on the shelves of millennials (coffee machine, centrifuge, mixer and smart oven). Soon they will be even more and the problem will be to make room for them. Thus was born the new '

shy-tech

', the design of reserved and functional spaces where to store them (without having to climb ladders or chairs to get them when needed).

Here is what is 'cooking' for our kitchens with world trends and the new mini appliances of the moment.

The electric and smart pressure cooker

, a 'magic pot' where you can quickly prepare legume soups, sauces, roasts, slow cooking meats. A multicooker on which today famous brands such as Moulinex (Cookeo), Instant Pot (with ten cooking programs in one click), and now also among other things, with the signature of Carlo Cracco, We Impress MasterPro (from Kasanova) who never misses cooking times. A smart object, it finally has a brain capable of turning out hot and well-cooked dishes when they are needed and even in our absence because it can be programmed even 24 hours in advance and also has the useful function of keeping ready-made foods warm.

The new multifunctional ovens

energy-saving such as, again designed with chef Cracco, the 'Grigliamo' oven that does not produce smoke or bad smells, is equipped with hi-tech sensors and cooks like outdoor grills (Kasanova).

 Hot

air fryers

for cooking, roasting, frying in a healthier way, as well as heating and defrosting. Habor among the listed brands.

The food processors with cooking processor

are increasingly performing and as in the case of the Thermomix they have an app, connectivity and online recipe book such as the Moulinex i-Companion, with which to manage the shopping list, then the Kenwood k-Cook, the Bosch Multi Talent 3, then again among the many KitchenAid and Senya My Little Chef, the unobtainable Monsieur Cuisine by Lidl.

Small and one of the best sellers is

the electric milk frother

(frother, milk heater, coffee, chocolate, macchiato and cappuccino) by Herilios. Bestsellers among the 'special' appliances are the

mini ovens for making round pizzas

just like at the G3 Ferrari restaurant. And the bread machines (Steba, from Schoenhuber). The soupmaker is also

crazy

(among the brands Imetec, Domoclip, Moulinex), dedicated to making hot soups, also excellent for shared kitchens in the office.

The work plans will become more and more crowded with robots for a trend that is growing from month to month.

But where are we going to put all these mini appliances?

Designers from all over the world are dealing with such a disruptive trend and for this reason shy-tech is born, a new line of design of 'casket' kitchens that hide mini appliances' in sliding doors, shutters, concealed spaces because environments we want them to be non-invasive and in continuity with the salon.

Smart homes are the new design standard and kitchens are no exception

, - Explains Alessandro Andreucci, leading designer for high-end kitchen brands of the caliber of Snaidero, Boffi, Ernestomeda. - The demand for cooking robots grows constantly and the demand clashes with the desire to have open kitchens, clean, uncluttered and in line with the living rooms with which they are connected. Faced with the need to redesign the spaces, the

shy-tech

trend was born

, that is the 'reserved' technology that allows you to hide all these new appliances when not in use but which remain ready when needed.

.

I designed 'link' kitchens in which not only the environment connects with the living room from a design point of view but is equipped with sliding doors that move vertically in order to hide or open the new work areas like wings, which they are no longer the stoves but the robots.

Now new mobile wall units are also being designed to contain the mini robots, which slide on the work surface, even closed with shutters.

Also new are the

work cabinets

that take their cue from old sideboards but have spaces for storing mini appliances and include washable worktops and electrical sockets.

For kitchens with limited space, these cabinets are reduced and are equipped with removable worktops.

In the future we will have more and more electronics in the kitchen ”.
