The new coalition undertook many reforms.
In their
coalition agreement,
the traffic light parties promise great efforts in terms of climate protection and restructuring of the industry.

Some important projects of the traffic light coalition
The
minimum wage *
is to rise from the current EUR 9.60 to EUR 12.
Instead of Hartz IV, long-term unemployed people will in future receive what is known as
Bürgergeld
to get.
In the first two reference years, the property or apartment is not checked.
Those who are covered by the citizens' allowance should not have to worry about the savings and the housing situation for the time being.
A
basic child benefit
is primarily intended to relieve families with little money.
It is intended to bundle previous financial support services such as child benefit and benefits for children in Hartz IV households.
In order to bridge the time until the introduction of the
basic child benefit, an immediate child supplement is provided
for families with low incomes.
The future traffic light government also wants to
relieve
families with state
vouchers for domestic
help.
As a first step, according to plans by Federal Labor Minister Hubertus Heil, families with children, single parents and people who look after relatives should receive an annual bonus of a maximum of 2,000 euros.
The
rent brake
for new rentals is to be extended.
In addition, in areas with a tight housing market, rents in existing tenancies should only be allowed to rise by up to 11 percent within three years instead of the previous 15 percent.
Electricity customers
are also to be
relieved
by abolishing the financing of the billions in the EEG levy to promote green electricity via the electricity price on January 1, 2023.
