The theme chosen for the 17th edition of the Trento Economy Festival, which will take place from 2 to 5 June 2022, is: "After the pandemic, between order and disorder". This was announced in a note by the organizers of the event which, in the three-year period 2022-24, is promoted by the Autonomous Province of Trento, through Trentino marketing Spa, together with the 24 Ore Group, and with the contribution of the Municipality and the University of Trento. The organizers also defined the composition of the scientific committee, chaired by the director of Sole 24 Ore Fabio Tamburini and composed of Gabriella Berloffa, full professor of political economy at the University of Trento, Luigi Bonatti, full professor of economic policy at the University of Trento, and Adriana Castagnoli, former professor of contemporary history at the University of Turin.An Advisory board was set up with the task of supporting the organizers and the scientific committee in identifying issues related to the real economy.
The body is made up of Lucia Annunziata (journalist), Emma Marcegaglia (B20 president), Paolo Magri (executive vice president and Ispi director), Monica Mondardini (Cir managing director), Giulio Sapelli (director of the Eni Enrico Mattei foundation), Giulio Tremonti ( president of Aspen institute Italy). The University of Trento will be responsible for indicating the guidelines of the festival program and will offer a logistical contribution.
The Municipality of Trento will share proposals and contents in a logic of coherence with the cultural and tourist offer of the city, also contributing to the organizational support. The newspapers of Gruppo 24 Ore and Sky Tg 24 will be the media partners of the event. The choice of the theme that will mark the 2022 edition - 'After the pandemic, between order and disorder' - originates from the reflection on the very strong social, economic and political effects that the pandemic has produced, is producing and will produce. 'The extent of the economic crisis following the health emergency - reads the note from the Festival - has required emergency economic policies all over the world. Fiscal policy is back on the agenda of all governments and public debts are growing everywhere. L'real economy has initiated changes where communities will return to play a fundamental role. The entire West has to deal with the decline of ideologies and the lack of leadership, not only in politics'. 'In this scenario, how will the equilibrium change in the Western world?
