Covid-19: the Paca region evacuates patients in Brittany and Île-de-France

In a press release, it announces that it has undertaken medical evacuations to "relieve the resuscitation services".

Thus, this Friday, two patients from the Public Assistance - Hospitals of Marseille (APHM) to Brittany.

This Saturday, three other additional Paca patients will be sent to hospitals in Île-de-France.

The ARS Paca which already specifies that "other evacuations should follow from the beginning of next week".

This Friday, 1,495 people are hospitalized in the Paca region for Covid-19, including 368 in an intensive care unit or intensive care.

To deal with the epidemic, the ARS has set up a graduated action plan depending on the situation.

Level four, which corresponds to an occupancy rate of more than 50% of resuscitation beds by Covid patients with regard to initial capacities, has been activated for 11 days.

Towards a deprogramming of surgical operations

"In view of the speed of increase in pressure on the establishments, the ARS Paca does not exclude the passage to level 5 which induces a strong deprogramming of the activity in medicine and in surgery, by avoiding the loss of luck of patients and by allowing capacity increases by redeployment of block staff, surgical and medical units ”, we read in this press release.

This is what worries professionals at the national level.

With this fifth wave and the reactivation of "white plans", the main union of liberal surgeons fears massive deprogramming of operations and asks "that the administration not take these decisions alone".
