Unicredit: Social Change Managers of the Third Sector are born

Growth of skills in the third sector and creation, with MIP Politecnico di Milano, of a new professional figure, the Social Change Managers, who will be able to accelerate the processes of innovation and change in the non-profit and for-profit organizations in which they operate. This is what was at the center of the Road To Social Change, the path dedicated to the third sector organized by UniCre


Growth of skills in the third sector and creation, with MIP Politecnico di Milano, of a new professional figure, the Social Change Managers, who will be able to accelerate the processes of innovation and change in the non-profit and for-profit organizations in which they operate.

This is what was at the center of the Road To Social Change, the path dedicated to the third sector organized by UniCredit, as part of its Banking Academy, in collaboration with AICCON, Politecnico di Milano - Tiresia Research Center, MIP Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business, Italian Accenture Foundation and TechSoup, which closed today in Milan.

At the end of the course, with 7 national talks, 14 territorial seminars, an on-demand content library, the participants obtained the Open Badge, a digital certification of acquired knowledge, skills and competences.


The non-profit was called to participate for the best community building projects and during today's event 7 projects were awarded that respond to as many economic challenges involving the third sector: enhancing the cultural tourism and agri-food chains, generating new social infrastructures, regenerate places involving the community, develop community welfare and cohesive economies, promote the circular economy through enterprising communities; promoting cities and new inclusive ecosystems.

"The Covid crisis - declared Pier Carlo Padoan, President of UniCredit, who participated in the day - has highlighted even more the economic interdependence between the various public and private social actors and the importance of creating the conditions for triggers a virtuous contamination between business, finance, the third sector and the state. UniCredit already plays an important role in the framework of ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) issues and, as a leader in the sustainable finance sector, aims to guide the allocation of capital towards economic activities that generate a positive impact on society. The Road to Social Change project is an integral part of this approach ".

Among the awarded projects, for Sicily 'Seminiamo Bellezza, Returniamo Valore', promoted by Progetto Itaca Palermo ODV- with the aim of activating information, prevention, support and rehabilitation initiatives and projects aimed at people suffering from mental health disorders; for the South, Officina Creativa SCS has been promoting the work of women inmates and prisoners in Italian prisons for over twelve years. For the Center, Francigena - Road to Social Change, the project of Alicenova Società Cooperativa Sociale Onlus concerns S'Osteria38 in Acquapendente, with a project of social inclusion and start to work for three children with disabilities and promotion of the point of sale of agricultural products of the solidarity farms and the slow food network of Tuscia. For the Center North, the Apennines, the Hub, a project by Sons of the World,to respond to the need for sustainable development of the country's internal areas, thanks to the dialogue between public and private sectors. For the North East, Salva il Mondo, Salva la Terra !, the project by Informatici Senza Frontiere APS, enhances the natural propensity for computer science of many autistic and Asperger children.

For the North West, No one stays behind, the network of young Digital Facilitators will aim to activate solidarity actions to facilitate access to the digital services of the Public Administration for the frail.

For Lombardy, with Good Food System, Fondazione Progetto Arca Onlus - FPA, by improving the management of the entire chain between food companies / GDO, local authorities and beneficiary families, will be able to respond to the food needs of the "new poor".
