(ANSA) - MILAN, 18 DEC - The first two Frecciarossa 1000s that marked the debut of the Trenitalia and Ferroviedello Stato high-speed train in France left Paris and Milan this morning. "A historic step in the evolution of the European railway market" defines the group.
From Paris Gare de Lyon station the Frecciarossa leaves at 7.26 am with stops at Lyon Part Dieu, Chambery-Challes-Les-Eaux, Modane, Torino Porta Susa and arrives at Milano Centrale. Reverse route for the Frecciarossa departed from Milan Central at 6.25 am and arrived at the Gare de Lyon station in Paris. Two more races are scheduled in the afternoon.
The initial two daily round trips between Paris Gare de Lyon and Milano Centrale, via Lyon Part-Dieu, Chambéry, Modane and Turin will be joined by other three day return journeys between Paris Gare de Lyon and LyonPart-Dieu and Lyon Perrache. .
In all, Trenitalia will make 10 journeys for almost 5,000 seats a day between Paris and Lyon.
