British Airways Airbus A350-1000 (PR Airways)
The French long-haul French company Bee has just received a shipment of a brand new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft with a record number of seats - 480 - that passengers will be crammed into, especially in the dangerous Corona era.
The configuration is the maximum allowed by law and was approved only after Airbus made improvements to the emergency exits to handle so many passengers.
Airbus designed its A350-1000 with a maximum capacity of 440 passengers, but asked regulators for approval for a super-dense version of the aircraft so that low-cost carriers such as France Bee and its sister airline Air Caraïbes would prefer to purchase their aircraft from it. .
The A350-1000 is already extremely fuel efficient, but with so many seats crammed into this configuration, it offers "unmatched" efficiency, according to Airbus.
For comparison, in a three-class configuration, British Airways operates A350-1000 aircraft with a capacity of only 331 passengers, while Cathay Pacific operates A350-100 aircraft with 334 seats.

Destination: Indian Ocean
French Bee was able to cram so many seats into the same space on the plane, by choosing a high-density configuration with economy class seats arranged in a 3-4-3 layout.
Most of the other airlines arrange seats in this class with one seat less per row, so the French company had to "shave" around a centimeter wide of most of the seats to fit them all.
At the front of the plane, the French Bee will offer a premium economy cabin with 40 seats.
The plane will operate on the popular line between Paris and Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean (700 km from Madagascar), and the economic rationale for purchasing it is that getting to Reunion in the past was incredibly expensive so travelers are willing to sacrifice comfort for the opportunity to reach the Indian Ocean. Require. As the company estimates, it will have no problems filling the plane with this line on almost every flight.
