The teacher this time is Dana International, even though her last name is not really in Hebrew.
The singer was called by the Histadrut to sing the anthem to record the song.
"During my career, I recorded dozens of songs in many languages and on a variety of topics," says International.
"I never thought or imagined that I would also be a teacher singer who sang the alphabet. After we finished the recording, I was asked by the agency to give a zoom lesson in Hebrew to the students, but I will probably give it up. It really does not suit me to be a teacher."
The World Zionist Organization, through the Department of Encouragement of Immigration, operates an array of centers for the preparation of immigration - studios for learning Hebrew in many countries in North, Central and South America, as well as in Western Europe.
The department operates more than 300 studio classes for learning Hebrew each year with about 4,000 students.
"My Beloved Hebrew" is a salute song to the studios designed to strengthen the unit's sense of belonging and pride for students and teachers and to raise the issue of encouraging immigration and the department's activities on the public agenda.
The lyrics are by Yoav Ginai, composed and arranged by Guy Menach and performed by Dana International, which combines the voices and singing of students and teachers from studios from around the world.
