Due to corona cases on board the »Mein Schiff 4«, numerous guests have to cancel their cruise.
As the company TUI Cruises announced, all around 1,600 tourists of "Mein Schiff 4" disembark on Sunday in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, most of them according to plan.
However, around 300 of them actually wanted to spend seven more days on the ship, said a company spokeswoman.
This is a “precautionary measure”, as the company announced in a statement from which the portal quoted “Ships and Cruises”.
It has proven useful to separate the guests of the current and the upcoming trip from each other in order to avoid additional contacts.
No symptoms or mild symptoms in infected people
The infections were initially found in four guests, according to TUI Cruises.
After a full test of passengers and crew, a few more cases were added.
Those affected and contact persons were isolated in a designated area on board in consultation with the Spanish authorities.
You should now remain in quarantine on land.
The infected had either no symptoms or only mild symptoms.
The ship should leave with new guests on Sunday.
The 3G model (vaccinated, recovered, tested) is currently in effect on board, and 2G plus (vaccinated or recovered with an additional test) from February 23rd.
The vaccination rate for adult passengers is currently 95 percent.
