Sisters on coke? No, in the "Tatort" from Bavaria about the murder in a monastery everything was godly. Your opinion is asked.

In the course of the "crime scene" at one point, the investigators bent over a white powder that had been spread on the table in a nun's chamber.

Coke?

Was this possibly the result of the high level of good humor that prevailed in the monastery?

Kalli Hammermann, the young colleague of the old hands Batic and Leitmayr, rubbed the substance on the tip of his tongue and then laughed mischievously: It was powder that is used to breastfeed babies. In fact, a baby had been secretly born in the convent and was being cared for by all the sisters. Not the only cheerful departure from the monastery norm in this film. Although the company's auditor had been poisoned, the commissioners had a lot to smile about.

In our review we wrote: »There are a couple of strong, lifeworld scenes from the convent, for example when the sisters, led by the prioress (Corinna Harfouch), initiate an office of the dead. Or when the commissioners slowly discover how the nuns use a few tricks to get the church leadership not to close their convent, which is actually understaffed. (...) But the staging is just too good. Playing with the exploitation of nuns, as we know it from Italian crackers in the style of ›The Monastery of 1000 Deadly Sins‹, is hinted at too innocently, and the self-preservation measures of a religious community, from which the believers run away, could have been portrayed even more evil.A little more robust action in the '1000 Deadly Sins' style and a little less godly monastery monsters à la 'For Heaven's sake' would have done this religious thread quite well. "

We gave it 5 out of 10 points.

What do you think of the crime thriller?

From Bavarian monastery idyll to British landed gentry: Another »Tatort« with Miroslav Nemec and Udo Wachtveitl is currently being filmed in the Bavaria Studios, and in this case the story jumps back from the present to a hundred years.

The investigative characters Batic and Leitmayr travel back in time, end up in a British mansion from 1924 and are addressed as "Constable Partridge" and "Chief Inspector Lightmyer".

The title of the probably also very cheerful episode is »Krimidinner«, it will be broadcast as a Christmas Special 2022.
