Damascus, SANA- The University of Damascus has announced more than 200 scholarships offered by the Hungarian government

Damascus University has announced more than 200 scholarships provided by the Hungarian government “Ministry of Human Energy” to Syrian students for the undergraduate and postgraduate levels (Master’s and PhD) in various disciplines for the academic year 2022-2023.

In its announcement, of which SANA received a copy, the university specified the conditions for applying to these scholarships for graduates of Syrian public and private universities, the virtual university and open education, and those who obtained a Syrian secondary certificate from the scientific and literary branches.

The grants, according to the university’s announcement, include a monthly stipend of 130 euros for students applying to the undergraduate and master’s levels, and 450 euros for students applying for doctoral grants, in addition to an exemption from registration fees and the provision of housing or a financial allowance for it, while the student covers the travel expenses.

According to the university’s announcement, registration for these scholarships will take place directly and exclusively through the website designated by the Hungarian side until the fifteenth of next January, noting that the website includes the documents required for registration, including a copy of the certificate obtained by the student in addition to a document of proof of language level B2 and a copy of the passport travel.

The papers are submitted by the person concerned exclusively when conducting the interview, and the applicant must have been residing in Syria for a period of no less than six months during the year 2021. The applicants will be informed on the university’s website about the place and time of the interview and everything related to the Hungarian scholarship.
