Today, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the differentiation of postgraduate studies for the faculties of human medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, informatics engineering, architecture, nursing and the Higher Institute of Regional Planning for the academic year 2021-2022.
The ministry’s announcement, which SANA received a copy of, included the number of students to be accepted in the graduate studies majors in the mentioned colleges, as well as the number of students to be accepted in the subspecialty clinical studies for the holders of the General Specialized Studies Certificate in Human Medicine for the academic year 2021-2022, indicating that the submission of applications at the approved registration centers starts from Tuesday morning 12/28-2021 until Thursday 6/1-2022.
The ministry indicated that this differentiation is directed to Syrian students and the like, graduates of Syrian public universities “general and parallel”, private Syrian and non-Syrian, and the virtual university “parallel” on the seats allocated to them and on the remaining vacancies from the comparison of Arab and foreign students.
The ministry stipulated that the student must have taken the unified national written exam and obtained a mark of at least 60 percent without assistance in one of the courses conducted during the years 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, where the higher course rate will be approved if the student applied to more than one confirmed course It is necessary for him to obtain a foreign language pass document from the higher institutes of languages in public universities, provided that no more than three years have passed since the date of obtaining it.
The ministry has allocated 2% of the seats in each college to the children, brothers, and spouses of martyrs and the wounded with total and partial disability, the injured with a percentage of no less than 30% and not more than 35% of the conscripted and reservists, the children of the wounded, with total and partial disability of no less than 70%, the children of the missing and their spouses and the wounded Homeland for the injured with a disability rate of at least 40% of the military personnel in the army, armed forces and internal security forces who were martyred, wounded, or lost due to war or military operations or at the hands of terrorist gangs or hostile elements. These cases are proven by a document issued by the General Command exclusively in accordance with the laws and regulations approved by it .
