On the Right Foot: All About the New Netflix Series in January | Israel today

2021-12-20T08:41:56.632Z

With the opening of the new civil year, the content giant has released all the series that you can spend the winter and the Omicron with them • From the remake of "The Rebels" to the final season of "Orange is the New Black"

With one hand on the heart and the other on the remote, we must admit that Netflix's content offering for January 2022 is not particularly impressive, to say the least, but we still managed to spot some flickers and solicit a handful of worthy recommendations, in case next month leaves us stranded at home because of winter.

And the omicron.

"Manifesto" - Seasons 3-1 (1.1)

"Manifesto" is a drama-science-fiction series launched on the American network NBC about three years ago and was supposed, for the umpteenth time, to try to recreate the magic of "Lost." She did not do the job. Still, the general idea is that a flight from Jamaica to New York experiences some eddies while in the air, however when it lands safely, its 191 passengers discover that five and a half years have passed since their flight took off, so they were declared dead. Where have they been all this time? How will the company receive them? exactly.

The reason the first three seasons of "Manifesto" are coming to Netflix right now is because the series was canceled by NBC, leaving fans with a formidable Cliff Hanger and lots of questions.

The good news is that Netflix has acquired the series and agreed to produce a final fourth season for it that will close all the edges, so you can definitely start the binge without fear.

"Manifesto" may not be a masterpiece like "Lost" (except for last season), and its over-melodrama may be annoying at times, but there are far worse ones than it.

"The Rebels: The Next Generation" (5.1)

We personally know some avid fans of the original and mythological series "The Rebels" who will burst into song and dance with the launch of this remake, based on the

Mexican

(and not the original Argentine) version of the musical musical telenovela from 2004, which tells the story of six talented and hormone-saturated teenagers Prestigious in Mexico City.

While no guest appearances are expected from anyone from the original cast (though the soundtracks seem to be quite similar), you can always keep your fingers crossed.

"Tony Reborn" - Season 3 (16.1)

A final season for Ricky Jarvis' dramatic, morbid and bittersweet black comedy, which plays a man whose beloved wife has died of cancer.

He decides to take revenge on the world by doing and saying only what he wants and hell with everyone, but his plans go awry when he discovers that those around him really care about him.

A little closure would not hurt.

And a lot of tissue.

"Ozark" - Season 4, Part One (21.1)

A final season of the effective suspense drama about the (seemingly) innocent family, which inevitably becomes a North American affiliate of a cruel Mexican drug cartel.

The third-season Cliff Hanger left viewers with a slumped jaw, and it will be very interesting to see if and how the Byrd family manage to get out of their current entanglement as well.

The fourth season of "Ozark" will feature only seven episodes.

The first three episodes will air on Netflix on 21.1, but the last four episodes do not currently have a launch date.

"The Sinners" - Season 4 (24.1)

Another final season for an acclaimed suspense series.

Retired detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) goes on vacation and tries to clear his head and mind in the pastoral atmosphere of a calm and remote fishing town, but unfortunately, he is swept up in another tortuous murder mystery that only he can crack - this time of a young girl with a dark and mysterious past.

The pensioner will have to wait for Harry, but will Harry agree to wait for retirement?

"Orange is the New Black" - Season 7 (26.1)

A bit awkward, but the last season of "Orange" arrives on Netflix Israel almost two and a half years (!) After it was launched on Netflix USA, for these and other reasons (and this is a Netflix series, yes?). The seventh (available on YES), but we still feel obligated to report its arrival on Israeli Netflix, if only for the sake of curiosity.

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
