An unusual harvest to say the least. In the United States, a couple living in sunny Florida discovered that a giant beehive had nestled behind their shower wall. Alerted by the buzzing, Stefanie and Dan Graham called for help a beekeeper, Elisha Bixler, a social media star, used to extreme interventions and who regularly posts videos of her activity on her TikTok account. That day, at the end of November, Elisha arrives in the couple's bathroom and begins to tear down a section of the wall behind the diaper knob. She then discovered an impressive colony of bees, which stretches over two meters high. “There was honey everywhere: walls, floor, on my shoes, doorknobs. There was at least 45 kilos ”, says the beekeeper, interviewed by The New York Times.

But there is no question of exterminating the 80,000 workers who have taken up residence in this improbable place, and even less their queen.
As with each of her interventions, Elisha takes care to harvest the maximum from the hive by sucking up all the bees and isolates their queen to bring them back safe and sound to her beekeeping farm "How's Your Day Honey".
“Bees are essential to life on Earth.
They play a major role in global food production.
They contribute to 75% of world food production thanks to pollination, ”recalls the beekeeper.
