(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 21 - Seizures of 170 tons of fish products and sanctions around 600 thousand euros.
These are the first results of the Atlantis operation of the Coast Guard for the holiday period which, out of 6862 checks carried out, led to 385 penalties and 295 kidnappings.
The checks, which started at the beginning of December, will last for all holidays.
These are the data disseminated to the Ministry for Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies.
The operations were coordinated at a national level by the National Fisheries Control Center of the General Command of the Coast Guard of Rome and articulated at the territorial level of the 15 regional maritime directorates.
