The UIMM, the powerful federation of metallurgy, this Tuesday afternoon put the end to more than five years of negotiations to recast the 7,000 pages of its 67 existing territorial collective agreements into a single text of national scope - a text that now holds 200 pages.
This titanic project to build a social model combining economic and social performance will have been discussed topic by topic during meetings organized every two weeks since September 2016. It should, subject to the confirmation in January of their federal authority, collect the signature of the CFDT, the leading trade union organization in the sector, of FO and CFE-CGC.
The CGT should logically oppose it.
