A Swedish start-up wants to conquer the German parcel market.
It should start as early as 2022.
Stockholm - The Swedish parcel service Instabox wants to start in Germany in 2022.
“Germany is one of the largest markets in Europe, it is also a very competitive market.
But we are confident that consumers in Germany will appreciate our service, ”said company founder and boss Alexis Priftis of
Wirtschaftswoche
.
“We want to deliver on the same day in Germany as well.” For example, the company will deliver packages from the fashion retailer H&M.
The competition in Germany is of course great with DHL, Hermes, UPS and many more.
Swedish parcel service Instabox is planning parcel lockers in Germany
Instabox also wants to set up its own parcel lockers in Germany, where customers can pick up their orders.
"We are aiming for around 1,000 parcel stations in Germany in the first year," Priftis continued.
Initially, the offer is to be available in Hamburg, Berlin and the Rhineland and then expanded.
The first logistics centers are to be built in Düsseldorf and Berlin.
In the corona pandemic, online orders became even more popular than ever.
So the market is promising.
According to

Instabox is
already active in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands.
The start-up was founded in 2015 and has around 2500 employees.
