- In Italy or abroad, at home or in a restaurant, at Christmas or New Year's Eve, there will be record parties for tricolor bubbles, with almost 2 billion toasts expected and a production value of 236 million euros. This is estimated by the Italian Wine Union Observatory (UIV) -Ismea, in its focus on the consumption of Italian sparkling wines, never as high as this year. According to the Observatory, there are over 316 million Italian bottles ready to be consumed during the holidays, 18.3% more than last year and 50% more than just 5 years ago. Of these, almost 3 out of 4 are destined for abroad while about 88 million bottles (+ 14%) are reserved for the holidays at the tables of the Italians, to which are added the imported bubbles, equal to about 5 million bottles, also 'they have never been so numerous (+ 50% on 2020).

All the main Italian denominations are driving the bottling, with growth almost everywhere in double figures, starting from Prosecco Doc (+ 25%) up to Asti, from Franciacorta to Conegliano Dogc, from Trento to Oltrepò, from Alta Langa to the Lessini Durello to the Asolo hills.
