During her long acting career, which lasted six decades, Haus also took part in the famous movie "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", where she played the character of Trolley Scramps.
Despite the film's success, her acting career on the big screen did not accelerate as expected, and she focused on developing her career in theater, where she was also nominated for the prestigious Tony Award for her role in the musical "Bridgon" and also starred in "King and I" and "Cinderella".
"I would very much like a film career," she said in an interview, "but I did not pursue it. I really liked the connection with the audience. The theater is a drug," she added, "but the problem is that in order to be remembered you have to make films."
