While Princess Anne's husband has tested positive for Covid-19, the couple are forced to self-isolate at their Gloucestershire home for 10 days. And therefore will not be able to visit the Queen during the holidays.

While Queen Elizabeth II has chosen to cancel the traditional big Christmas bringing the royal family together at Sandringham, it looks like she has to do without the visit of some members of the Windsor clan as well.

On Wednesday December 22, the

Faced with the resurgence of the pandemic in the United Kingdom, Elizabeth II, 95, had decided to protect herself and stay at Windsor Castle for the holiday season.

According to a royal source, the queen would have taken this decision after "careful consideration".

But she will still receive a visit from some members of the royal family.

She should thus be able to count on Princes Andrew and Edward who live in the same region as their mother.

On the side of Prince Charles, his wife Camilla as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, nothing has yet been confirmed.

Princess Anne and her husband will have to wait until their isolation is over before they can visit Queen Elizabeth II.

Who, eight months after the death of her husband Prince Philip, will celebrate Christmas in a very small circle.
