Although the number of verified and the percentage of positive infections did not increase compared to Monday, the R rose to 1.31 • Since midnight, more than 800 new carriers have been identified • The severe patient index remains stable

The Ministry of Health updated today (Wednesday) the morbidity data from yesterday, which shows that the infection rate continues to rise to 1.31 and the number of verified has also risen to 1,200.

Also, the percentage of positive infections from yesterday stands at 1.25% - lower than the figure from last Monday which stood at 1.28%.

Although the number of cases from yesterday is lower than the morbidity peaks recorded on Monday, the rise in the infection coefficient heralds the continued spread of the disease.

As for numbers from today, since midnight 826 new verified have been identified, with 9,037 citizens defined as positive corona carriers.

Despite the increase in morbidity, even today the difficult patient index remains stable and stands at 79 inpatients, of whom 72 were not vaccinated in the third dose.

As you may recall, against the background of the spread of the new variant and the doubling of the number of carriers within two days, it was decided to open a vaccination campaign in a fourth dose.

The Corona Cabinet also decided last night on additional restrictions: in some localities, distance learning will be transferred in accordance with the morbidity and immunization data, and a partial green label will be activated in the malls.

In addition, the epidemic treatment team at the Ministry of Health has overwhelmingly recommended that a fourth vaccine be given to people aged 60 and over, health care workers, patients at risk and workers with the elderly.
