Alessandro Miressi is 100sl world champion in short course.

In Abu Dhabi, on the last day of the world championship, the blue finished his race in 45''57, a new Italian record, ahead of the American Ryan Held (45''63), silver, and the Canadian Liendo Edwards ( 45 '' 82).

This is the fourth gold and the 14th medal for Italy in these world championships.
