Teleworking, we are moving up a gear.
The Minister of Labor, Élisabeth Borne, on Wednesday called on companies to "prepare" to offer their employees "three or four days of telework" per week.
A recommendation to be applied after the Christmas holidays, as soon as we return in January, to cope with the increase in contaminations and the explosion of the Omicron variant, which will “very likely be in the majority between Christmas and New Year”, like the Olivier Véran also said on Wednesday.
"It is clear that we must accelerate", advanced Elisabeth Borne at the microphone of Europe 1, evoking "a target of three days minimum, even four days" per week.
"For several weeks we have been asking to strengthen teleworking with two to three days," recalls the Minister.
"Nearly 60% of employees who can telework do so today on average three days a week," she said, citing a survey by her ministry.
To verify that these recommendations are applied in the field, the Labor Inspectorate will be mobilized.
“We are currently at 5,000 checks per month,” says Elisabeth Borne.
But also, "we can count on the responsibility of employers and employees," she said.
