(ANSA) - PARIS, DEC 23 - France is moving forward towards the transformation of the current "health pass" into "passvaccinale", a sort of French 'Super Green Pass'. After the foreseen go-ahead in the extraordinary council of ministers fixed for next Monday in Paris, the draft law will be examined on Wednesday in the commission, at the National Assembly and the Minister of Health, Olivier Vèran, will be questioned the same day by the deputies, reads today in the Official Journal. Faced with the fifth wave of the coronavirus and the arrival of the Omicron variant, the current administration of President Emmanuel Macron announced on 17 December the transformation of the health pass into a vaccination pass. In practice, it is a sort of 'French-style' Super Green Passinspired by the one already introduced in Italy. The entry into force was initially expected by the end of January but given the urgency of the situation, the goal is now to adopt it "within the first fifteen days of January". Given the hostility of entrepreneurs and social partners, the project does not seem to include at the moment the obligation for employees, contrary to what is already happening in Italy.
