Future vaccine pass: having been infected recently will still be valid

2021-12-23T11:26:14.784Z

To have the health pass still in force, a positive test certificate is sufficient. This shouldn't change with the future

Contaminated during this fifth wave and therefore unable to be vaccinated for the moment, will I be deprived of a restaurant or theater from the month of January?

No.

Having recently tested positive will make it possible to have the vaccine pass when it has replaced the health pass in January (subject to the vote of Parliament), ensures this Thursday in Paris the Ministry of Health.

It is the same principle as that of the "certificate of recovery" already in force for the health pass.

Currently, if you have received two doses of the vaccine and are infected, you have to wait five months before receiving your booster.

This is the rule of "one infection = one injection", established by the Ministry of Health.

Unvaccinated people who test positive should allow 6 months to pass to receive their first dose.

Additional time for reminder in case of injection

The draft bill was revealed on Wednesday afternoon by the NextImpact site.

Article 1 indeed gives the possibility of "making subject to the presentation of proof of vaccination status the access of persons of at least twelve years old to certain places, establishments, services or events".

It is the legal translation of the vaccine pass.

A little further on, it is indicated that a decree may establish "the cases in which, because of the medical condition of the persons concerned, a certificate of recovery or a certificate of contraindication to vaccination may replace the proof of vaccination status ”.

The Ministry of Health ensures that having recently had the Covid will be part of this part "medical condition of those concerned".

The unvaccinated and who would therefore have had the Covid will be able to benefit from a vaccination pass for a certain time, while those infected after their doses will have an additional time before having to receive their booster.

Scanning the QR code on the positive test certificate should result in a valid pass.

But how long?

From January 15, the health pass will be deactivated 7 months after the second dose for people who have not had a booster (this is already the case, since December 15, for those over 65).

And a positive test carried out between 11 days and 6 months earlier provides a health pass.

This period may change, but this will therefore be established by decree.
