Restraint has never been something that characterized the

family

- not in appearance, not in lifestyle and certainly not in the drama that this family faces and produces itself, of course, otherwise on what will the successful reality be based?

One can understand why the family loves so much the trend that makes almost every American family, in every economic class, overdo it: Christmas cards.

This tradition is something that Americans take very seriously.

It's their way of communicating with distant family members, showing off the changes the family has gone through in the past year with new babies, growing children, changing spouses - all to show everyone how photogenic and perfect their lives are - much like Instagram, only with a tripod camera and ugly sweaters.

But the Kardashians have always taken it one step further and one can learn a lot from what they want us to understand from each picture.

90s: In memory of the days of innocence

This cute family photo was taken somewhere in the 80s and it includes the original Kardashian family, even before it became a tribe and long before the women in it proved to be the beautiful, smart, strong and rich sex.

What made us puddle was Kim's caption: "This picture is of the original Kardashians, when my parents were married and our lives were perfect!".

A few years after the picture was taken,
