France is advancing rapidly towards the adoption of the Super Green Pass
- France is moving forward towards the transformation of the current "health pass" into a "vaccination pass", a sort of French 'Super Green Pass'. After the expected go-ahead in the extraordinary council of ministers set for next Monday in Paris, the bill will be examined on Wednesday in the commission, at the National Assembly and the Minister of Health, Olivier Vèran, will be questioned the same day by the deputies, it says today in the Official Gazette. Faced with the fifth wave of the coronavirus and the arrival of the Omicron variant, the current administration of President Emmanuel Macron announced on 17 December the transformation of the health pass into a vaccination pass. In practice, it is a sort of 'French' Super Green Passinspired by the one already introduced in Italy. The entry into force was initially expected by the end of January but given the urgency of the situation, the goal is now to adopt it "within the first fifteen days of January". Given the hostility of entrepreneurs and social partners, the project does not seem to include at the moment the obligation for employees, contrary to what is already happening in Italy.
For Lauterbach big wave in January in Germany
- "A big, fast wave of Covid in Germany is not there yet. But that will change at the beginning of the new year and in the first weeks of January."
This was stated by the German Minister of Health, Karl Lauterbach, speaking to the broadcaster WDR2, in view of the progressive diffusion, also in the Federal Republic, of the Omicron variant.
The minister said that he will spend the Christmas holidays with his family, "a group of less than 5 people. I will celebrate in a very intimate way, and this advice to all Germans", he added.
