A British citizen is missing after being arrested by the Taliban in Kabul.
This was reported by the Daily Mirror, taken up by other British media.
Grant Bailey, around 50, works for an NGO in Afghanistan and has not reported himself since last Saturday when he was arrested at gunpoint, according to a British security source quoted by the newspaper.
"We are aware of the detention of a British citizen in Afghanistan and are in contact with his family to support him," said a spokesman for the London Foreign Office.
At the moment there is no confirmation from the Taliban, while in the UK there is growing concern that it is not known what happened to him, where he is being held or for what reason, writes the Daily Mirror, according to which Grant Bailey is returned to Afghanistan last September, shortly after the Taliban returned to power in Kabul in August.
