The government does not plan to require the combination of a vaccination pass and a test to go to a café, assured a ministerial source and the LREM president of the Law Commission Yaël Braun-Pivet on Friday.
The text of the bill which transforms the health pass into a vaccination pass raises concerns and criticism on social networks, in particular about a provision on a possible "accumulation of supporting documents".
This text, which will be presented to the Council of Ministers on Monday before consideration in parliament in the wake, provides that the government reserves the right to require this accumulation, that is to say a negative test in addition to a certificate. vaccination, when "the interest of public health and the state of the health situation" could justify it.

But "the intention is absolutely not to require a vaccination pass plus a test to go have a coffee," said a ministerial source.
The bill establishes a sufficiently "broad" legal framework to be able to strengthen the vaccination pass and break down contamination in certain places, but its scope will be specified by decree, it is pointed out, recalling that the parliamentary debate in coming will also be able to restrict the scope of the law.
For the time being, there is no particular lead concerning the places possibly concerned, and in any case the government would not decide on its own, it is argued.
Useful "during an epidemic peak"?
More than places, the device could be useful in certain situations.
For example for people who do not have a complete vaccination schedule: they would be admitted to certain places by presenting a test in addition to their first dose certificate, explains the ministerial source, seeing it as "a lever to encourage vaccination".
Likewise, requesting proof of vaccination plus a test could be restricted to a given period "during an epidemic peak", which, by reinforcing the pass, would make it possible to avoid closures of activities, it is specified. .

Presenting a test in addition to his vaccination pass to enter a cafe, "this is not what is envisaged", even if it will take a vaccination pass "to go to a place such as the cafe", had previously indicated Yaël Braun-Pivet on Sud Radio.
