The Swedish delivery service Instabox will start in Germany next year.
The start-up wants to compete with DHL, Hermes and other services.
Kassel - Especially in the run-up to Christmas you are used to the parcel delivery boy ringing almost every day.
Depending on where you order, the service is provided by DHL, Hermes, DPD or Amazon itself.
Another parcel service will join in the coming year.
We are talking about Instabox, a Swedish parcel service that wants to stir up the market in Germany.
The goals are ambitious: "We want to deliver on the same day in Germany too," Instabox founder Alexis Priftis told Wirtschaftswoche.
Germany is one of “the largest markets in Europe”.
We are confident that consumers will appreciate the service.
Competition for DHL, Hermes and Co .: Instabox wants to set up parcel stations in Germany
In order to achieve its sporting goal, the start-up from Stockholm wants, among other things, to have its own parcel stations where customers can pick up their orders themselves.
DHL and Amazon now also offer their own parcel stations.
As the German Press Agency (dpa) reports, the company is planning around 1000 parcel stations in Germany in the first year.
For the time being, however, the offer is only to be available in Hamburg, Berlin and the Rhineland, and other regions are to follow later.

According to the information, the first Instabox logistics centers are also to be built in Düsseldorf and Berlin.
The start-up is currently based in Scandinavia and the Netherlands.
In Germany, the company, which was founded in 2015, would like to hire 500 to 1000 new employees in the new year.
As the Berliner Morgenpost reported, Instabox has already landed its first major customer: the fashion chain H&M, which was also founded in Sweden.
