The list is long.
In a decree dated Friday, December 24, the prefect of Savoy took new restrictions against the Covid, which are in addition to those already taken.
The reason ?
The incidence rate in the department was 759 per 100,000 inhabitants on Tuesday with a positivity rate of 9%, or fifteen times the epidemic threshold.
This high level of contamination poses a risk to hospitals, where 82 patients were hospitalized for Covid-19 on December 21, including 21 in critical care departments.
And the influx of tourists in ski resorts poses an additional risk: in addition to the “mixing of populations”, which will not fail to push up the curves of the Covid, there is also “mountain and road accidents” which risk of pushing caregivers a little further.

Therefore, Pascal Bolot decided that, "until Tuesday January 4 inclusive", the wearing of a mask remains compulsory from the age of 11 outdoors throughout the department for any gathering of more than 10 people on the public highway, in the markets, in all kinds of queues - the decree lists the performance and games halls, shops, stations, bars, marquees… It is imperative to have a mask to move, to 9 am to midnight, in Chambéry, Aix-les-Bains and Albertville, as well as in a certain number of municipalities which mix people going to ski resorts.
In addition, in the 38 ski resorts of the department, it is forbidden to eat or drink while standing, including in fast food restaurants.
The ban on the consumption of alcohol on public roads from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., in particular mulled wine from Christmas markets, takes effect from 4 p.m. in the stations.
At the beginning of December, the prefect of Savoy had already enacted the rule of the obligatory mask when a crowd formed at the foot of the ski lifts, in the chairlifts or the cable cars, physical distancing there being impossible.
He recommended that children wear it from 6 years old.
The health pass remains compulsory to attend them.
Again Thursday, checks took place in the bars and lifts of Le Corbier.
According to the prefect, more than 10,000 checks have been carried out since the opening of the stations.
