An adventurous trip with a happy ending: two sisters in Schleswig-Holstein lost each other on a train ride to their aunt on Christmas Eve and were reunited by the police.

The two girls are eleven and twelve years old.

According to the police, the elder of the two had sadly explained to the officers late in the afternoon on Christmas Eve at Wasbek train station near Neumünster that she had lost her sister.

They were on their way to see their aunt for Christmas.

Because they were unsure when to get off, the younger of the two at the Aukrug station quickly jumped off the train to check the timetable.

When she was outside, the doors closed and the train continued.

Directly to your aunt by patrol car

According to the police, the officers took the older sister to Aukrug in the patrol car and asked passers-by about the sister.

A man had actually seen the girl on a back street, so that the sisters were overjoyed to be reunited.

So that Christmas Eve could still take place as planned for the girls, they were driven the 50 kilometers directly to the aunt.
