"Survival": When Jackie does "The Godfather" | Israel today

2021-12-26T08:26:52.857Z

The latest and suckiest dismissal of the VIP season who knows how much of the most exhausting reality in the world has proven one thing: there is no place on this island for real and honest, but only for bullying, terrorism, lies and the worn and tiring ethnic demon discourse

Even before we get to talking about Michael Lewis' dismissal, perhaps the most surprising and probably sugary one in this season's dismissals, we must talk about a mistaken premise that has taken root in recent months.

For most of this season of "Survival," the premise of quite a few viewers of the show was to conclude that the evil man on the island, the cold, heartless villain who plays dirty and moves forward by stabbing backs, forceps and, well, bullying, is probably Capricorn.

But that is not the case.

Capricorn is, as it seems at the moment, mostly a comedic pause.

Not that he is completely devoid of qualities that would have given him the status of an evil game, but they are idle in the sixties in the face of someone who runs the island like a mafia boss, no less.

Washing sucks.

Or a mafia boss, to be exact.

Because if it's not clear to you by now that Jackie is the villain of "Survival Season 9083, damn how many seasons this VIP has," you probably watched another season.

In last night's episode it was more noticeable than ever.

And she will tell you that this is a strategy or that it is an ethnic matter, but in practice there is one person on the island who does not hesitate to intimidate, lie, quarrel and insult others - after all it is her.

'Zohar, like Zohar, is very suspicious.

Suspicious but stupid, 'she is not ashamed to say in front of the cameras.

During the Tribal Council (or by its other name - the weekly psychological session you did not want to witness at all) she will also throw a "coward" at him.

It would happen minutes after she explained how much she "could not separate emotion from strategy," though a few minutes earlier we had seen her quarrel between poetry and glamor.

She will accuse others of not being able to contain her voice and manner of speaking, and will force (in a calculated way) the issue of the ethnic discourse of Mizrahis and Ashkenazim.

She will not try to stop for a moment and realize that it is not just her speech volume (and yes, it is also an indication of something, whether she wants to admit it or not) that is bothering those around her.

These are also the aggressions inherent in it, the contempt, the lack of consideration for the other and the daring.

The courage to be the predatory, disrespectful (to others as to the Hebrew language) and the most forceful in the environment, and still give others the feeling that they are the ones who should apologize to her.

Much more than the volume.

In a sense there is quite a bit of symbolism in Michael’s dismissal in this episode.

Precisely the round character, the one who told more than one opportunity this season, about the mental path she did, finds herself expelled from the game at this point.

During the season Lewis did not break down as those around him tried to force him to change his approach on issues on which he had absolute right to his opinion.

In yesterday's episode, perhaps most of all, Michael seemed to be sober.

Beyond the extreme thinness, Lewis would have seemed to have ended this game, and perhaps his participants as well.

The man with the squares in his stomach, as many tend to brand him, is probably just winking at other materials.

Perhaps he, too, is tired of dealing with the loudest man on the island, whose attitude and contempt for another was heard far more than any other participant throughout last night's episode.

Roda, criticizes, judges and threatens, while dismissing himself as a kind of social conscience.

In yesterday's episode, Jackie, as usual, trampled on Zohar, and strategically on Michael as well.

And without you noticing, she did the same for us, the viewers.

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
