The restaurant that will shatter everything you thought of kosher restaurants inside hotels (Photo: Naama Issachari)

The Herbert Samuel Hachshara restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Herzliya Pituach will shatter everything you thought of kosher restaurants within hotels. The compelling name "Herbert Samuel" that echoes the restaurant by that name on the Tel Aviv promenade led by Chef Jonathan Rochefeld continues with great success in this incarnation as well, and no less successfully.

The Ritz Carlton is a luxurious hotel with an international scent in the marina in Herzliya Pituach, right next to the marina and yachts as well as the fun promenade. The hotel has a rooftop pool, Turkish bath, pampering spa, great rooms and views of the city and the beautiful beaches of the city. Next to the hotel's designed lobby, which belongs to the International Marriott chain, is the restaurant and boasts transparent floor-to-ceiling glass windows for everything the environment has to offer.

This is the only kosher restaurant in the entire Marriott chain - the largest hotel chain in the world, and it is not only kosher but it is a meticulous chef restaurant, based on seasonal cuisine and a changing menu based on the raw materials and creativity of Chef Aviel Sandrusi. Although the restaurant is only active on weekdays in the evening, a lunch service will soon reopen due to the strong demand for an elite kosher restaurant. Sandrusi has been leading the restaurant for the past few months after working with chef Shaul Ben Aderet and leading kitchens of restaurants and hotels.

"Training is important for a significant number of our diners, as well as guests of a traditional hotel, and we manage to do so without compromising on flavors and without compromising on quality," says Keren Cohen, the hotel's and restaurant's marketing director. "We are launching a winter menu that is characterized by deeper flavors, long cooking, seasonings and a more present seasoning. This is after we parted ways with the lighter summer menu."

The restaurant is currently launching a new winter menu based on meat and fish alongside winter herbs and vegetables. There are also touches of Asian cuisine and European cuisine or in other words - fusion. Everything is prepared in the kitchen open to the public, in front of the diners. An entire wall is dedicated in the restaurant to the huge wine refrigerator - which consists exclusively of wines from carefully selected Israeli wineries.

In the new menu you can find a category of handsome ones including entrees with citrus ponzo, soy, yuzu aioli, green chili and grapefruit; Tuna tartare, roasted kohlrabi masba and almonds, pakos and lemon zest; Beef tartare. In the Market and Field category you can eat the mythical "Herbert Samuel" tomato salad; Orange soup with coconut cream and red curry and more; In the category of fresh from the sea are served, among other things, handmade fishing gnocchi; Seafood fillet on the plancha alongside tomato and roasted eggplant risotto, pickled lemon, roasted pepper cream and pine nuts; For a whole burnt burn on the plancha, caramelized soy, ginger,Jasmine rice and green chili.

Many start the outing on the outdoor terrace, where there is a bar with a particularly lucrative happy hour on Sundays-Thursdays from 21: 00-17: 30 with equal drinks that are specially cooked on site.

The atmosphere is completely international, you hear different languages from every corner, especially now that the tourists are starting to return to the country.

The restaurant is located a step away from the Israeli Silicon Valley - the many high-tech companies in Herzliya Pituach often host reputable guests from abroad and show off the advanced and unique local cuisine. .

Herbert Samuel has won several awards (Photo: Naama Issachari)

Herbert Samuel's culinary line also characterizes the rest of the hotel, even the rum service menu (or as it is called here in room dining) was built by Chef Sandrosi and you can enjoy equal and sophisticated dishes in the room as well. The kosher meat top-up also serves dishes based on the menu of the main restaurant. "There is a touch of Herbert Samuel in all the culinary departments of the hotel, each dish is expressed by the winning brand," says Cohen proudly.
