(ANSA) - LONDON, DEC 27 - Great Britain today reports 98,515 new cases of coronavirus and 143 deaths.
However, this is a partial data and concerns only England, as other nations of the United Kingdom - Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - do not provide official data during the holiday period.
The number of infections therefore seems low if we compare the record numbers, well over the 100 thousand cases, recorded in the last few days.
However, provisional data from Scotland suggests that there are 10,562 infections in the region north of England.
If correct, this would bring the daily total to 109,077, not counting the data for Wales and Northern Ireland.
