A marriage is imminent in the Belgian royal family.
Princess Maria Laura, niece of King Philippe, has become engaged, the royal family announced.
"Congratulations to the future bride and groom," wrote the palace on Instagram for a photo of Maria Laura and her partner William Isvy.
The princess and her fiancé want to get married in the second half of 2022 - according to the Belga news agency in Brussels.
The 33-year-old is the granddaughter of the Belgian ex-King Albert II. She is the daughter of Prince Lorenz and Princess Astrid, the sister of the current 66-year-old Belgian King Philippe.
According to the report, Maria Laura most recently worked for a foundation as an analyst in the field of climate change.
William Isvy is therefore a British-French asset manager.
According to Belga, the two met in London in 2015.
However, Maria Laura has little chance of ever becoming Queen of Belgium.
She is currently ninth in line to the throne.
