Andorra: 82-year-old crashes with Ferrari in a shopping center

Italian sports cars are not always easy to control.

This is especially true for historical specimens from manufacturers such as Lamborghini or Ferrari.

The vehicle that was involved in an unusual accident in Andorra comes from the latter brand.

As reported by local media, the driver got off his lane in Sant Julià de Lòria, broke through a demarcation, slipped over the oncoming lane and destroyed the shop window of a shopping center.

Photos show the red car half outside, half inside the building, surrounded by broken glass and rescue workers.

According to the newspaper "Diara d'Andorra" the incident occurred shortly before Christmas in broad daylight.

In addition, details about the driver of the accident vehicle became known.

He is 82 years old and was slightly injured in the accident.

The same goes for his 59-year-old passenger and a 44-year-old who works in the mall.

According to media reports, all three suffered concussions - but were able to leave the hospital after a short time.

The incident seems to have turned out less lightly for the car.

The photos show a destroyed front of the Ferrari, which is also jacked up in the middle of the window.

This may also have damaged the underbody.

Repair is likely to be costly

The model 512 TR is an evolution of the legendary Ferrari Testarossa, which was seen in the TV series "Miami Vice", among others.

The vehicle was on the market from 1991 and was built in relatively large numbers - by Ferrari standards - until 1994.

Depending on the condition and mileage, the cars are now traded for 150,000 to around 300,000 euros.
