Eat at McDonald's and work off your calories right away.
In China, this is now even possible in restaurants.
A video of this is going viral right now.
Jieyang - If you have a guilty conscience about eating a meal at McDonald's, you can now work off the calories in the restaurant.
At least in the Chinese Jieyang in the southern province of Guangdong.
Since September this year, the fast food chain has had a new concept up its sleeve that includes fitness bikes.
McDonald's Launches Fitness Bikes: Video of Woman Goes Viral on Tik Tok
A video of the wheels is currently going viral on the Tik Tok social media platform.
It shows a woman pedaling hard while she eats something and drinks a drink on the side.
Next to her, a man is doing the same thing.
But is the fitness bike really meant to compensate for the calories right away?
According to a press release from the company in September, there is no question of that.
Accordingly, the bikes are part of a life experience store that aims to promote a “low-carbon and more environmentally friendly life”.
Fitness bikes at McDonald's: Customers can use them to charge their cell phones
With the wheels, which are made of recycled plastic, restaurant guests can charge their cell phones wirelessly.
That means: Without your own muscle power there is no electricity.
So far there are 63 green McDonald's in China, as the message goes on to say.
Even if the official main goal is to charge the cell phone, it is still a positive side effect to be able to kick off the calories right away.
Maybe that has a future in Germany too ...
