The corona era brought with it quite a few and bizarre situations, but about the prolonged voluntary isolation in the toilet of the plane we have not yet heard.
This is what Marisa Potio, a teacher from Michigan who spent the last five hours of her flight to Reykjavik, Iceland, forced on herself, huddled inside the plane's toilet cubicle.
The tourist documented herself during the isolation in the small cabin and wrote alongside the ticking video she posted and garnered over 4 million views: "When you are positive for Corona across the Atlantic".
She added: "Respect to Iceland Air for my VIP isolation area."

Potio said she began to feel a sore throat during an Iceland Air flight from Chicago on December 20.
She packed in while more speed checks in case you needed them, and that's what happened as soon as her throat started bothering on the flight.
"I did a quick check in the bathroom and within two seconds two stripes appeared indicating that the result was positive," she said.
At that moment she decided to isolate herself voluntarily and stay in the cell until landing, which she estimated was only five hours later.
"There were 150 people on the plane and my biggest fear was that I would catch one of them," she went on to tell NBC about the help she received from one of the Icelandic flight attendants.
"She made sure to bring me food and drink during those five hours and checked my condition frequently."
After landing, Potio went into solitary confinement at a hotel in the Icelandic capital, where a Christmas greeting and flowers were sent from the same flight attendant.
"She also sent me a small fir tree with bulbs that I could hang on," she concluded.
"It was heartwarming. She's a real angel."
