(ANSA) - PARIS, DEC 31 - From the first case of avian influenza detected on a farm at the end of November, "600,000 to 650,000" chickens were slaughtered in France, according to provisional data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The ministry identifies 26 outbreaks of the virus on farms, mainly in the southwest, 15 cases in the wild fauna and 3 cases in the backyard.
