According to initial findings, the old lady took to the street with her walker in Uhingen, Baden-Württemberg (Göppingen district) on Thursday afternoon when she was run over by a garbage truck.
The 88-year-old succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.

The driver stopped because he noticed the woman on the sidewalk.
Shortly afterwards, however, he drove off again and saw in the rear-view mirror or in the rear-view camera that the woman was lying on the street.
Emergency chaplains were on duty for the relatives, as well as for the employees of the waste disposal company.
