Covid: 5.5 million people still without the first dose

In a week made by 123,000 people. Excluding children 5-11 (ANSA)


There are over 5.5 million Italians who do not have coverage against Covid to date

: this is what emerges from the government report on vaccines, updated this morning.

Based on the monitoring - without calculating the population included in the 5-11 age range in which the non-vaccinated are 3,232,473, but the campaign started a few weeks ago - 5,560,532 people did not take the first dose.

Last Friday they were 5,683,275 (122,743 less). 

In absolute terms,

the highest number of unvaccinated is between 40-49 years

(1,202,480) and in that 50-59 years (1,021,601).

In the population between 5 and 19 years of age, 48.91% have not yet received any vaccine dose: this is 4,051,289 among children and young people, out of a total of 8,283,583 people.

To weigh on the data are the vaccinations of children between 5 and 11 years, which started just two weeks ago: in this age group there were 149,250 vaccinations in the last seven days and children without any dose (except for the recovered) are 3,232 .473.

In the 12-19 group, there are 818,816 boys without any dose.
