Protecting the school in the presence is a priority
.
This is the position reaffirmed this morning by the Minister of Education
Patrizio Bianchi
, according to what is learned, during the meeting that took place with the regional health councilors.
"For the Government it is essential to protect face-to-face teaching", Bianchi said during his speech.
The meeting was requested by the Regions with the Ministers of Public Education Bianchi and of Health Speranza, attended by the governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia and President of the
Conference of Regions Massimiliano Fedriga.
At the center are the measures to combat Covid in view of the reopening of schools.
The Regions have proposed new rules on student quarantines. Given the launch of the 5-11 vaccination campaign also for elementary and sixth grade schools - as is already the case for subsequent ones - the proposal is to provide,
in the case of two students with positive results in a class, only self-monitoring ( 5 days) for vaccinated children and 10-day quarantine with Dad (the latter case where applicable) and tests at the end of isolation for the unvaccinated.
In kindergartens there would remain a ten-day quarantine for all with a swab with only one positive case. The proposal would have found several points of agreement by the Government.
"
It is a priority to reduce the area of the unvaccinated
and to further enlarge that of the vaccinated in order not to overload the hospitals".
This is what Health Minister
Roberto Speranza
would have said during the meeting requested by the Regions in the presence of Governor Fedriga and Minister Bianchi.
The meeting - according to what is learned - would have examined the general situation linked to the pandemic and subsequently the aspects relating to the school.
Speranza would have emphasized the need to consider "both the extension of the obligation to all and the extension of the reinforced green pass to the world of work very seriously".
