The New Year's Eve dinner wins over the New Year's Eve dinner. The approval is revealed by a survey by Cna agroalimentare (National Confederation of crafts and small and medium-sized enterprises) near the New Year's Eve on December 31 and the toast for the arrival of 2022. The analysis highlights light that will be a subdued New Year's Eve but cheers, especially in family and close friends, will not be lacking: the party, despite cancellations at dinners and lunches in the premises and early closures for the Coronavirus, will in fact be celebrated by three out of four Italians.
The people who will celebrate the arrival of the new year, not limiting themselves to living it with family members living together, remain in the majority - says Cna - in the majority, but the number has "thinned significantly compared to 2019, the last year before Covid". The survey notes in particular that about 75 per cent of Italians will greet the new year in some way, while the remaining 25 per cent, on the other hand, will abstain from it due to a precautionary choice, medical constraint or other reasons. Among those who will celebrate, the dinner will conquer more than 55 percent of Italians compared to a scarce 45 percent of supporters of the New Year's lunch. Sustainable and high quality products will triumph on the table "seasoned - says Cna Agroalimentare - with the best Italian extra virgin olive oils and washed down with predominantly Italian wine".
