Airlines are looking for any way to enforce the wearing of the masks during the flight, and has increased to do Air New Zealand company which has announced that it will stop serving food and drink to passengers so that they will not have an excuse to take off the masks.
This decision will take effect immediately upon the entry of 2022 and will be activated on all domestic flights within New Zealand.
To the delight of the passengers, these are mostly short local flights, with the longest between Auckland and Ebenkergil taking less than two hours.
The company explained that these were precautionary measures to rule out the possibility that passengers would remove the masks during the flight: "Masks are one of the keys to limiting the spread, so these changes will allow passengers to stay with the masks on throughout the flight while being as safe and protected as possible."
A light snack will only be served as the passengers get off the plane.

New Zealand has done well most of the corona period and after dealing with the Delta strain Prime Minister Jacinda Arden has approved the reopening of the country’s international borders.
But those steps were suspended following the outbreak of the Omicron strain, when New Zealanders decided to clean up again with a zero-infection policy.
So far New Zealanders have managed to prevent the entry of Omicron through the borders, to the point.
Jay Briton violated his isolation conditions and went out to a nightclub when he was positive for the new breed.
Despite this, so far no people have been found infected with it.
