Yotam Zimri v. GLC: "They interrupted the program in the middle because we were joking at their expense" | Israel Today

The latest edition of the satire program "Status Quo" was broadcast yesterday at the GLC, in which all past presenters participated. Because we went down on it and on the IDF waves - "pluralism" •

The latest edition of the radio satire program "Status Quo" went off the air about twenty minutes before the scheduled time, and some claim that the reason is jokes made during it, condemning the station broadcasting IDF waves and station commander Galit Altstein.

"Yesterday I participated in the latest 'Status Quo' program on Gali Tzahal," wrote Yotam Zimri, the current Gali Israel broadcaster and Radio Darom, this morning (Friday) on Twitter. "I left Gali Tzahal years ago, but I was invited to the last program. Minutes before the end of the program, the IDF Waves Command called and asked to download the program in the middle.

Why?

Well, there were wild and pointless jokes in my eyes, but the real reason is that we got off on her and the IDF waves. "Pluralism."

"It was a graduation program with all the panelists who participated in it over the years," Zimri tells Israel Today. "It really is a wild show, and the fact that it was broadcast for the last time made it even wilder. At about twenty-eight we were informed by telephone in an emergency: Then I thought, 'What, why did they take it down? I did not know everyone who was hosted there, but there were some who gave rude punches. "As a protest against the download of the program, graffiti should be done on Galit's vehicle."

Zimri says that during the show he himself told jokes about the station, which contributed to the decision to download it immediately.

"I had such a monologue about 'What do you have in the IDF's waves better than' Status Quo, '" he says.

I learned that was the reason.

What's amazing is that difficult things were said there, but from what I was told, and it is certain, we were taken off the air because of the declines on IDF and Galit Altstein waves.

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
