(ANSA) - ROME, 01 JAN - Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has been made a Knight of the Order of the Garter, the highest rank of knighthood in the United Kingdom.
Blair, 68, is one of the names on the list of traditional New Year honors awarded by the Queen.
The list also includes some of the leaders of the fight at Covid in Great Britain.
Blair won the election with Labor in 1997 and remained in power for a decade.
Among his achievements, peace in Northern Ireland.
Instead, he was bitterly contested for participating in the war in Iraq in 2003. (ANSA).
