(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 01 - Restrictions on freedom "must be the absolute last resort" and the British will have to learn to "live together" at Covid in 2022. Health Minister Sajid Javid wrote this in an editorial in the DailyMail.
"It is inevitable that we will still see a large increase" in coronavirus cases next month, he wrote again, stressing that even though it has entered its third year, the pandemic is "still far from over".
NHS head Matthew Taylor for his part warned that Omicron's record spate of cases "will test the limits of the hospital system."
